Child Safety Standards

BORD is a social app operated by Bord Friends, LLC. These standards describe our position on child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), how to report it, and what we do when we learn of it. They apply to everyone who uses BORD, everywhere.

Zero tolerance for CSAE

Child sexual abuse and exploitation is absolutely prohibited on BORD. This includes, without limitation:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form — photographs, video, drawings, or computer-generated imagery.
• Grooming: building a relationship with a minor in order to sexually exploit them.
• Sextortion: threatening to share a person's intimate images to coerce them.
• Sexualising, or sexually soliciting, anyone under 18.
• Trafficking a minor, or advertising a minor for sexual purposes.
• Sharing links or contact details intended to facilitate any of the above.

There is no context in which this content is permitted on BORD, and no appeal that reverses it. Accounts found to be involved are removed permanently.

Minimum age and protections for minors

• You must be at least 16 to create a BORD account.
• Users under 18 are not shown in the profile browser to adults who are not already their contacts. This is enforced on our servers, not just in the app.
• We never display any user's date of birth or age to other users.

Reporting

You do not need a BORD account to report something to us by email. If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

What we do about it

• Content reported for child safety is hidden from the app immediately, pending review.
• We review these reports ahead of all other reports.
• Where we find apparent CSAM, we remove it, terminate the account, preserve the evidence as required, and report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in line with our obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
• We cooperate with law enforcement requests that are properly made.
• Terminated accounts are prevented from re-registering.

These standards are published in accordance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy. We comply with applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where BORD is available, and review these standards as those obligations change.
