You can permanently delete your BORD account at any time. You do not need to contact us or give a reason.
Your account is hidden from everyone straight away, and permanently deleted 30 days later.
During those 30 days you can undo the deletion by logging back in with your username and password. Nothing is lost — your profile, photos and wall come back exactly as they were.
This window exists for a reason. Anyone holding your unlocked phone could reset your password by text message and delete your account. The 30 days mean they cannot destroy anything permanently: you log back in and it is restored.
Your username and phone number stay reserved to you for the whole 30 days, so nobody else can take them while you decide.
If you have uninstalled BORD, you can delete your account from the form at the bottom of this page. It does exactly what the in-app button does, and takes effect immediately.
You will need your password either way. We do not delete accounts on request without it — if we did, anyone who knew your username could destroy your account, and there would be nothing you could do about it. If you have forgotten your password, reset it from the sign-in screen of the app first.
After 30 days, deletion is permanent. Once the 30 days have passed there is no way to restore the account, and we cannot recover it for you no matter who asks. If you sign up again later it will be a new account with none of your previous content.
Once the 30 days are up, everything that belongs to you personally is destroyed. Things you contributed to other people's conversations remain, but are no longer connected to you — they show the name "Deleted" instead, and cannot be traced back to your account.

We keep no record linking the "Deleted" label back to you. The connection is severed, not hidden.
If an account is terminated for violating our rules — in particular our Child Safety Standards — we retain a scrambled, one-way record of the phone number, along with the date and reason. We do this solely to stop banned users returning under a new account. It cannot be reversed to recover the original number, and it is never used for any other purpose.
Accounts deleted by their owner leave no such record.
Sign in below and your account is deleted straight away — no email, no waiting for us. Your password is checked by Google's servers and is never seen or stored by this website.
This is the real thing. Your account is hidden from everyone the moment you press the button. You have 30 days to change your mind by signing back in to the app. After that it is gone for good.
